Papillon is usually taken as the toy dog, which have a bigger personality than its own size. They are fragile in nature & by the body structure, because of their size. Guinea Pig being one of such animals has been one of the most favorite animals to be kept as a pet since very long now! These are not big as hamsters, and are small than rabbits with a thick coat of fur on their body that helps them stay warm in winters & make them really soft to hold in hands. Now Guinea Pigs make really wonderful pets. They live for five to seven years. They are flamboyant nature, very friendly & loving & get very easily attached to their owners very soon. Now they are quite delicate also, and so a lot of good care is needed in raising them to be loyal pets. These delicate pets are mostly affected by the weather changes, & are prone to get sick a lot in winters, and so a slight careful watch is needed on them in winters. In winters usually the housing of this pet should be very comfortable, warm & safe enough for it. This pet should house in during the cold months. Temperature below 15°C can make the survival rate of this animal fall down very easily. So you should very carefully stuff the house with the required bedding & other stuff to keep it warm.

Guinea Pig should be fed the Pig Pellets a lot in this weather, as they are nutritious & help your pet to gain the right amount of energy needed. Fresh water should be available for your precious all the times. An inverted bottle with a drinking tube would be a plus point for your pig’s happiness, & don’t forget to change the water regularly & also do not give cold water to drink. A healthy pig will be your precious for 5 to 7 years, and can get trained to do various tricks also to keep them & you always entertained.

Winters are mostly enjoyed more by humans less by animals if not given a proper care, because animals are more prone of falling sick, & in such a case Fish is the most delicate creature that requires a lot of care, the failure of which can totally result in deaths of the animals in the aquarium. Now during winters, you can face a lot power cuts, dropping water temperature, & sometimes ice on the surface of the water, which can result in the blockage of oxygen, and can make it difficult for the fish to breathe. Proper precautions should be taken by the owners to save the fish from dying. As weather is cold outside, the water can temperature can fall down during the day, so a close check on the temperature should be kept. This can be done by keeping a thermometer dipped in the water. Water heaters should also be used to set the water temperature as required. The water of the aquarium or pond should be changed regularly, and the pumps should be cleaned to allow the blockage anywhere to get loose.

You should also be ready with a plan during the power cut. Pumps not working during the cuts can put your precious pet’s life in danger, as the pumps help in making the water keep moving, which can stop the filtration of air for the fish to breathe once the pump is off. You need not to panic if your cut is not longer than 15 – 20 minutes, but you should get highly alert if the cut takes more than 30 minutes to get fixed. Now if the right water temperature is not given to the fish during this weather, then the metabolism & digestion of your fish begins to slow down, which can result in ill health of your fish. Lower than 15°C temperature can be very alarming for the fish’s life, and so in such a situation you should try to keep the aquarium warm enough for the fish to live comfortably, & should feed especially made for winter food.

As it is said that fish are known to have a tranquil effect on someone who watches them glide through the serene water, therefore it is very important to keep the fish alive to get that tranquil effect, otherwise a dead fish can give one the worst nightmares!

This weather is such that sometimes we forget to take care of few things when it comes to taking care of our pets, which results in bad heat strokes, sunburn, dehydration & what not! These problems are usually faced by every living creature on this earth, be it a human or an animal! Someday somewhere, one do gets stuck by the cruel heat, and so animals are the most prone of facing these problems than humans, because of their furry coats on their body, that protect them from the winters, but sometimes turn deadly during summers. Now everyone knows that cat is a creature which is considered to be the most moody animal of all. This animal usually has behavioral problems just like humans, and can get worse during a hot day! A cat owner should aware of the fact that a cat that is overheated in summer can face dehydration, shallow breathing & heatstroke. Keeping your cat cool during summer, especially when there is a heat wave is very important, in order to keep your cat happy & healthy throughout this hot weather.

Now the first to take care of is to keep your cat calm. It is very important to make your cat stay relaxed, as an uncomfortable cat can get destructive. Secondly make sure that your cat is getting the right amount of water it needs the whole day to keep the water level up in summers. Keeping a check over the intake of water in a day is very must, as energy in summers get drained really soon, which results in dehydration without proper amount of water in body. Cats usually like dark & cool places to hide in & sleep. Therefore if you have a garden then make sure that your cat has enough shady spots to hide in & sleep. Always let your cat wander around & find a place for itself to hide & sleep, but just not forget to track about where your cat is, not doing this can make your cat by mistake get exposed to heat for a longer period of time & get sunburned. Cats are very intelligent creatures, which if taken a good care can live up to many years & can turn out to be some excellent pets to humans.

Now just as a cat is affected a lot by the hot summer months, dogs too are prone to get ill of the summer, if not taken a good care. Dogs usually feel hotter than cats & so need a little more care than a cat. Now first of all one should understand that be it a dog, cat or any other animal, humans are strictly not allowed to lock their pets & babies inside a car on any day of your life. This is the most inhumane thing one can do to anyone living organism on this earth. Dogs are considered to be one of the most playful animals on this earth, & have been proved to heal many people suffering from mental problems & many other major problems including loneliness & depression. When God made this beautiful creature for humans to play around with, then humans also need to understand that leaving your dog on a leash outside your house with an empty bowl of water is as cruel as stabbing a kid in the heart.

They too are to be taken care of a lot in summer as they tend to grow ill of the hot weather, which affects their digestion, breathing, water level maintenance in their body & many other problems. So always take care of intake of the water by your precious puppy. Make sure that you get a regular haircut done in summer, if your pet has long fur coat. Make sure you wash & check the foot pads for any injury or burn marks every time you come back from a walk. Do not let your dog stay out in the heat for long, as it can cause heatstroke. Take care of the fact that your dog is free of external parasites, fleas, ticks & heart worms. Keep visiting your veterinarian regularly to keep a check on your pet’s health.

Remember, every animal is a baby in this cruel world full of hatred, and just as you would never want your baby to face any problem by & through this world, any other baby should also not face it. Just as you would take care of your own baby, make sure someone else’s baby is also living safe, healthy & happy!

Do you remember the movie ‘Wolves of the Mist’? I’m sure you must have, after all who can forget those cute looking puppy wolves that grew up into rough tough looking yet protective towards each other wolf pack! After that many times I asked my dad to bring me a wolf so that we can pet him, and he used to laugh out very loud and tell me that if you pet a wolf, it will eat you up one day. This confession of him used to scare me till death, but was never able to kill the desire of petting a wolf ever from my heart. And so, though I grew up without a pet wolf whom I desperately wanted to name as ‘Moses’, but to sometimes calm myself down, I traveled around the world & used to see different kinds of wolves, would get fascinated by their looks. Their strong, determined & calm, yet heavily dangerous looks used to get my eyesight captivated.

Many people think that if you pet a wild animal, then someday of its life, you’ll be either eaten by it or the animal would run away from your house and would start living in the forests. This can be true to an extent, where the animal is not being treated either nice or proper care is not being given. Usually this sort of behavior from wild animals kept as pets is seen only when the required natural movement or exercise or diet is not acquired by them. Now this fact can make many to pet this animal because wolf which is 15000 years old, was kept as pet by the warriors to fight anything wild in order to protect them from any harm. Thinking of petting a wolf gives many people the chills of their lives but this animal is not kept in its purest form. Nowadays a mix of dog & a wolf which is known as Wolf Dog or Wolf Hybrid is kept as a pet in many homes. There are several Wolf Dog breeds around us. This dog is mostly created for people to pet in, as you can get the best of the both worlds, a dog’s friendly companionship & a wolf’s good looks & its untamed nature.

Now this breed in many countries is illegal to own, as it is said to be half wolf & they are considered ‘very dangerous’, sometimes next to lions in many countries, and so many times it is very difficult to own a Wolf Dog as a pet. And as it is a hybrid, therefore there is no approved rabies vaccination. If this dog bites someone, then it will have to be put to sleep & owners have to have a very clear mind about whether to have Wolf Dog as a pet or not because they are aware of the fact that even if the rabies vaccination is given to them, they still can’t depend on it.

This dog makes very good & friendly domestic pets, if taken a proper care & trained well from the childhood. A wolf’s traits of being extremely charismatic & highly intelligent, extremely strong with a bigger brain than a dog, & dogs, trait of being friendly, loving, caring & protective has made this mix breed a very favorite pet in many houses.

Now the temperament of this hybrid can be a little unpredictable in the adolescence, usually at the age of 18 months. This mix can be very playful and adaptive too at this age. It is after 18 months, when these half wolves grow out of adolescence show the typical behaviors of a wolf. Wolf hybrid will usually not respond to loud noises, dead objects, fast motion or new people quite well. They can be found eating poop outside or anywhere near them, and if much attention is not given then they can the other minute be seen happily rolling & coating itself in it. As a Wolf Dog is very adaptive when it is young, therefore it is very important to train them very seriously at this time of their age, as a non-trained Wolf Dog can heavily result in temperament & command taking issues when it grows into an adult.

An ample space should also be provided to it to move around, and digging is what they love the most, and so they dig every possible ground & make space for them to hide, stay in dark & cool off. In adolescence, a hybrid should be given the training of how to socialize with people & other dogs, as this is the shyest dog one can own, and not doing so can result in a very fearful & angry wolf, once it grows up.

Now wolves are carnivores & totally depend upon raw food, and so they result in eating a lot of meat, sometimes a lot of in a single day. Therefore educating yourself on what and how much to feed your Wolf Dog should be the first priority for any owner who goes for this hybrid. Theses hybrids make a fantastic pet if given the best care, & the right use of their special traits makes the hybrid & the owner live really happily & strong together till the end.
