Our world is divided into two parts whenever it comes to pet – there are dog people and then there are cat people. Many people thinks that cats are more fancy and exotic as compared to dogs. They both are totally different from each other and each of them have their own pros and cos. I am not here to tell you the disadvantages of having a cat but I will definitely give you 8 reasons why dogs are better than cats
1. DOGS ARE BETTER COMPANION THAN CATS :-
Dogs are known as the man’s best friend from ancient times. There are million of real stories available on the internet which proves that dogs are very faithful to their owners, a dog refused to go away from his master’s grave which undoubtedly proves how much he loved his owner. Once you creates a strong bond with your dog then he will be devoted to you lifetime, whereas cats are more self – centered, independent and they love themselves more than you. If you want your pet to follow you around and be loyal to you then dog is the best choice for you.
2. DOGS ARE OBEDIENT THAN CATS :-
Yes, they are more obedient than cats. For instance, if you are training these two pets, then dogs will be more likely to obey your commands like sit, lay down, up, standing – up and many more other tricks. They are very smart pets and that is why it is easy to teach him. While on the other hand, cats would not like to respond at the time of training, and he will only sit in the corner and watch you.
3. DOGS CAN BE TRAINED :-
Now, many people will say, cats can be trained too. Yes, they can be trained but it will take your lot of time in training them. They are very, very difficult to trained, maybe because they loves to live in their own world. We all know that cats are independent animal and you can’t make him to learn anything if they don’t want to. Sometimes, cats will do whatever they want without caring of his owner or master. When it comes to dog, they are very easy to trained. They are responsive to leads or hints and they can some tricks like sitting, rolling, turning on or off a switch and many more other difficult tasks. You can make him to learn these commands by giving him treats which will motivate him to do better.
4. DOGS CAN PROTECT YOU AGAINST DANGER :-
You can’t deny this fact, dogs are known as the guard of their house but you can’t expect your cat to protect you or your house. They are very small creatures and usually do not have strength to fight against the danger but dogs are quite strong and with their sharp teeth and barking, he can easily frighten the threats. They can also alert you if there is any incoming calamities such as earthquake and flood.

Some people admits that their lovable dog is also their stress – relievers. If you own a dog then it will probably be your daily routine of taking him in the park. It will not only improve your dog’s health but also yours. Dog’s love can even lighten your mood if you are feeling low. Whereas cats don’t really care if you are in depression or happy. They will only need you when they are hungry and also, they don’t even need to walk in the park like dogs.

Yes, dogs have very good listening skills, if you yell out his name, he will come to you inmediately as he listens to you. Even if you talk to your dog, face to face, they will act like he understands you by making eye to eye contact or they will even tilt his heads. While on the other hand, if you try to talk with your cat, they will simply look at you and then walk away.
